An international cast of women feature in a new radio show and podcast on OAR FM that examines what beauty, power, and presence mean across different cultures.
Glow and Tell is co-hosted by Dr Marwa Othman, a GP from Iraq who has also lived in Dubai; Humera Fiaz, a beauty therapist from Pakistan with experience of living in Saudi Arabia; and Haneen Sajjad, an aspiring nail technician born in Saudi Arabia, with Pakistani roots.
The show is about beauty inside and out, sharing cultural beauty and wellness rituals and gaining confidence through self-care.
For the opening episode, Humera and Marwa sat down with Dunedin interior designer, fashion lover, and proud grandmother Annie Simpson, who shared experiences from her early days as a florist to designing award-winning spaces like Dunedin’s Grand Casino.
Ms Simpson spoke of her love for fashion and skincare, and why saying “yes” keeps her feeling youthful.
Future episodes will be mainly in English language but there are plans to include episodes in Arabic and Urdu.
Glow and Tell is broadcast fortnightly on Mondays at 7pm on 105.4FM and 1575AM.
