OAR FM Dunedin is a vibrant, not-for-profit Access Media station, hosting podcasts and radio programmes by, for and about our local communities. We broadcast from Ōtepoti Dunedin on 105.4FM and 1575AM, and stream live and podcast from this website.
We are proud to provide the facilities, training and support for individuals and groups to make their own podcasts and radio shows. A voice for diverse communities, we encourage participation, celebration of language and culture, and involvement in community life.
With 100-plus locally-produced podcasts and radio shows, in more than 10 languages, there is something for everyone to enjoy and share. From top tips on recycling and waste minimisation to history, health, culture, science, wellbeing, wildlife and nature, books, current affairs, faith and more, the listening is diverse and dynamic.
To complement OAR’s blend of local stories, information and opinion, we showcase a varied mix of specialist music shows that include the work of many talented New Zealand artists. Musicians and genres outside the mainstream, and from all over the world, offer a fascinating alternative to Top 40 playlists.
As part of the network of 12 Community Access Media Alliance (CAMA) stations nationwide, we are here to provide you with opportunities to get involved in making, supporting or sponsoring podcasts and radio programmes for listeners in Ōtepoti Dunedin and beyond.
OAR FM is independently owned and operated by the Ōtepoti Dunedin-based Hills Radio Trust, an Incorporated Charitable Trust (CC21387).
