The Screen From Our Side is a youth-led podcast sharing real, unfiltered perspectives on growing up in a digital world. Created by rangatahi in Ōtepoti and supported by Netsafe, the series explores the complexities of life online—from social media and identity to online harm, wellbeing, and emerging technologies like AI.
Across each episode, young people reflect on the opportunities and challenges of being constantly connected: finding community, navigating pressure and comparison, managing screen time, and making sense of a rapidly changing digital landscape. They speak candidly about what adults often misunderstand, what needs to change, and how we can build safer, more supportive online spaces.
