What is happening?

• Scammers are sending emails, claiming to represent Otago Access Radio (OAR FM) and offering interview opportunities and seeking a production fee.
• They may use a fake email address, cloned logos, or a spoofed phone number that looks real.
• They are demanding payment or asking you to click on untrusted web links.

Please remember that Otago Access Radio (OAR FM) will NEVER:

• Ask you to click a link in a text message or unexpected email to make a payment or log in.
• Demand immediate money transfers, gift cards, or cryptocurrency.

What you should do if you receive a suspicious message or call:

1. Do not click any links, open attachments, or reply to the message.
2. Do not send money or share any personal, login, or financial details.
3. Verify independently by using the contact form below or calling us directly on 03 471 6161.
4. Report suspicious online activity or harm to Netsafe at https://netsafe.org.nz/

OAR FM Dunedin strives to uphold the Code of Broadcasting Standards at all times. If you wish to make a complaint about something you’ve heard on this station, you can write to The Manager, OAR FM, Dunedin Community House, 43 Princes Street, Dunedin or email [email protected] within 20 working days of the broadcast.
