Prospect Park Productions NZ presents Dark Dunedin: Heaven Looks On, a three-part thriller podcast with a nostalgic and gothic Dunedin at its beating heart.
Alongside our protagonist you’ll discover – or re-discover – historic, natural, and supernatural features of the city including the whoosh of Lamson pipes at Penroses Department Store, twinkling stars in the St James theatre, and Kēhua, sprites, and demons dancing under the moonlight in the Town Belt.
When a young woman’s body is discovered in the Dunedin Town Belt, Louise Hepburn is haunted by both the case and her past. A single woman of middle age, she believes that she’s an invisible presence in the Edinburgh of the south.
However, when Louise is identified as a potential witness, she sets about unlocking clues to solve the crime; a quest that crosses the different paths of light that pass through the prism of Ōtepoti, the place of the steep points at the bottom of the world.
All three episodes of Dark Dunedin: Heaven Looks On will be available for download from 9pm 12 March, allowing you to take the mystery with you whenever, wherever you go. You could even listen while you explore the sites in the story…
